Random 3:30 in the morning thought
well, I tried to go to bed early (midnight), only to wake up at 3:00 completely wide awake. Damn it! Anyway, I just realized that, ever since our house got new windows, I've been unable to hear those stupid dogs next door. Unbelievable, this triple-insulation magic. Either that, or they both died. I won't tell you which scenario I cherish the thought of more.

I sure hope you're right about that, Joe. Of course, why would they both die at the same time? (he asked innocently). Even if they are dead, there's just going to be two new ones to deal with.
